Manchester Met is home to one of the UK’s largest and most diverse student communities, with over 43,000 students representing over 100 countries.
The Recruitment and Admissions Department provides a seamless service to potential Manchester Met students from first enquiry through to enrolment for all modes and levels of courses. We are responsible for delivering a range of support services to enquirers, applicants, university staff and external stakeholders.
We operate a high-volume quality recruitment and admissions service, annually communicating with over 100,000 university enquirers and applicants through our recruitment campaigns. We manage 40,000 visitors visiting our campuses and deliver over 800 events off campus. We are also responsible for all aspects of offer making and offer communications with around 100,000 applications per year. Quality information, advice and guidance is at the heart of what we deliver, enabling students to make informed choices about going to Higher Education and Manchester Metropolitan University.
As a Post 16 Outreach Officer you will play a key role in making sure that potential students receive the very best information, advice and guidance about studying at Manchester Met.
The Post 16 Officer is responsible for effectively managing our relationships with key feeder schools and colleges in the East Midlands. This critical role means you must have the ability to communicate the life changing benefits of higher education and degree apprenticeships to a wide range of audiences. You will have your own key accounts and will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a range of recruitment related events, talks and activities designed to positively influence and showcase what Manchester Met has to offer. You will also be reporting regularly on trends and activities, as well as suggesting improvements and finding new opportunities for working with key stakeholders externally and within the University.
You will be based from home in the Midlands with regular meeting days at our campus in Manchester, as well as high frequency travel in the region and surrounding areas.
