The job
We are seeking a highly motivated student to join our team as a Student/ Research Assistant (f/m/x) in a joint project between the UFZ and ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig.

Your tasks

  • Participation in the development of LLM-based translation tools in Python for converting KNIME into Galaxy workflows
  • Testing and validation of the developed workflow translation tools
  • Apply the translation tools to a library of pre-existing workflows
  • Collaboration with the NFDI4BIOIMAGE consortium and interact with the bioimage analysis community

Your profile

  • A strong interest in FAIR research data management, open source, open access, standardization of processes, and development and implementation of digitization strategies is required
  • Practical experience with Python and Git. Additional programming skills are a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary team
