EXPERIENCE
Good standard of general education, including a qualification in Maths, English, typing or word processing and ICT.
Ability to be able to write to a good standard of literacy.
Administration practices
Relevant IT skills and knowledge of appropriate software applications.
Experience of using ICT including word processing, spreadsheets and database packages.
Experience of work within a school management information systems.
Working with children, young people, parents and families preferably within an educational context

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
To work under the direct instruction of the Attendance Officer to offer an effective administrative support service to the staff and students of Notre Dame Catholic Academy, which include duties covering all aspects of the Academy.
DUTIES
· To act as the first point of contact for students visiting the student services desk dealing with routine enquiries from students.
· To input attendance data and assist the attendance officer dealing with students who are late or have been absent.
· To support the admin team dealing with telephone calls, staff queries and general duties as appropriate.
· To provide a high level of typing support for the staff within the college.
· To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
· Support the production and maintenance of reprographic resources.
· To help with the distribution of incoming and external mail.
· Responsible for the use, updating and maintenance of schools information management systems including manual and electronic filing records.
· Assist in the production of statistical information as required.
· To support the academy’s commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare at a level appropriate to this role.
· Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.
· Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the academy.
· Participate in training, other learning activities and performance development as required.
· Attend and participate in meetings as required.
· Any other duties commensurate with the duties / responsibilities / grade of the post.
· All staff in school will be expected to accept reasonable flexibility in working arrangements and the allocation of duties.
