Responsible to: DOS / Regional Director
To satisfy the requirements for the teaching variant of this role candidates must have a CELTA certificate or equivalent (e.g. a TEFL qualification which included six hours of observed teaching practice), a proficient level of English and the right to work in the UK).

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Student Services and accommodation Coordinator takes responsibility for the overall experience of students enrolled in ILC Cambridge. This includes all aspects of customer service, student administration and accommodation provision. The post-holder works closely with the Director of Studies (DOS) to ensure that the students have a great experience while studying in the UK.
Teacher: The teaching role includes planning and delivering engaging English language lessons and projects to Young Learners and/or adults as required. It also includes related administrative duties, e.g. recording attendance, and a commitment to the safety and well-being of all students.

Responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: STUDENT SERVICES AND ACCOMMODATION COORDINATOR.

· Managing reception, assisting visitors, and overseeing signing in and out.
· Handling general enquiries and telephone calls and dealing with student bookings.
. Recruiting new homestay providers and taking active steps to increase the network.
. Maintaining the Homestay network, placing students and managing all aspects of homestay provision.
. Keeping accurate records and databases of all systems relating to Homestay provision.
. Using the relevant databases to record and manage student bookings.
. Communicating with students and agents prior to their arrival at the school in order to co-ordinate and manage their expectations for their course.
. Managing the volunteer shop network used for the English and work experience course.
· Adhering to centre procedures and ensuring that staff receive messages (telephone, email, face-to-face) promptly and accurately.
· Assisting the DOS and COO with administrative needs as required.
· Maintaining a positive, helpful, and pleasant demeanour at all times when dealing with potential customers, current and past students, staff and managers.
· Assisting with all accreditation inspections and ensuring that the criteria are followed in all aspects of administration.
· The post holder will be available for reasonable contact by the Regional Director and Director of Studies to assist in dealing with student emergencies out of office hours and will be added to the rota for the emergency phone.
· Maintaining high standards when managing confidential information and always complying with the school’s data protection procedures and legal requirements.
· Attending Health and Safety Committee meetings and adhering to and enforcing relevant decisions.
· Ensuring staff and students follow our Health and Safety policy.
· Covering the activities programme when the Director of Studies is on leave.
· Booking and arranging airport transfers for ILC and ILH groups.
· Arranging meet and greet for incoming groups.
· Making necessary bookings for the activity program.
· Liaising with cover to ensure continuity of provision while on leave.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: TEACHER

· To teach courses when required, up to a maximum of 400 teaching hours per year.
· To teach in accordance with the ILC Teachers’ Handbook.
· To be aware of and follow all policies and procedures as laid out in the Company Handbook.
· To acknowledge all published sources on photocopies.
· To complete attendance, student and course records.
· To attend all co-ordination meetings and training sessions as required by the Director of Studies.
· To provide handover notes when passing a class to another teacher.
· To be alert to any welfare/academic problems a student may have and inform the relevant member of staff.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
