POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director or Dean of Education (DOE), the Student Success & Hybrid Program Coordinator (SSHPC) supports both campus restart initiatives and hybrid program student success. This individual facilitates the progress of eligible restart students through re-enrollment, while also providing ongoing academic and technical support to students enrolled in hybrid (online and on-campus) courses. The Coordinator serves as a liaison between students and campus departments—including Admissions, Education, Financial Aid, Business Office, Career Services, and Externship—as well as representatives from the Host Institution (Fortis College in Centerville) for hybrid programs. The SSHPC is responsible for achieving institutional restart goals, promoting student engagement, monitoring performance, and ensuring students have the resources necessary for persistence and graduation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: RESTART STUDENT SUPPORT * Serve as the primary contact for campus restarts; initiate contact with potential restart students via phone, email, and written correspondence. * Maintain accurate and current contact information in CampusVue (CV); track communications using Contact Manager. * Advise students on restart eligibility, policies, and required documentation; assist with completion of restart paperwork. * Coordinate appointments and communications among students, faculty, and campus departments to streamline the restart process. * Prepare and disseminate restart-related reports, materials, and updates to campus leadership. * Achieve and exceed assigned restart goals and budgets by proactively identifying and re-engaging eligible students. * Participate in orientation sessions and campus events to promote restart initiatives. * Identify and help resolve barriers preventing students from returning to or persisting in their programs. HYBRID PROGRAM STUDENT SUCCESS * Serve as the on-campus liaison for students enrolled in hybrid programs delivered in partnership with the Host Institution. * Support remediation for applicants who fail the Online Competency Assessment and facilitate the Online Student Success Course (Orientation to Online Learning). * Build strong, supportive relationships with hybrid students and provide proactive advising to promote success. * Monitor student attendance and grades; connect with students who fall below passing or have not attended online classes for seven days or more. * Meet on-campus with at-risk students escalated by the Online Advisor and coordinate mid-term advising sessions. * Respond to student inquiries regarding online coursework within 24 business hours, collaborating with Online Advisors as needed. * Assist students with technical troubleshooting and connect them with IT or online support as required. * Use CampusVue to review notes and document all student interactions and interventions. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION * Maintain open communication with Admissions, Education, Financial Aid, Business Office, and Career Services to support holistic student progress. * Partner with online advisors, campus faculty, and the academics team to identify and assist at-risk students. * Contribute to campus events, recruitment, and retention initiatives that enhance student engagement and success. * Uphold all Education Affiliates (EA) and campus academic policies and procedures. * Prepare and maintain confidential student records, reports, and publications as required. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS: * Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. * Knowledge of Education Affiliates academic programs, policies, and procedures. * Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. * Experience with student advisement, engagement, and retention strategies. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet-based platforms. * Experience with CampusVue (CV) and Canvas preferred. * Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities; attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. * Demonstrated commitment to integrity, service excellence, student-focused outcomes, and respect for others.
