As a member of the Athletic Department, a Facility Operations Student Assistant will perform a variety of tasks in support of the thirty-six varsity sports at Ohio State. Collaborating with the full-time Facility Operations staff, an applicant will be responsible for meeting and exceeding the needs of our building occupants and fans. A successful candidate will enjoy flexible scheduling, working alongside fellow students, and exposure to Ohio State Athletics events, venues, teams and staff.

The duties and tasks listed below represent what is expected of an Athletics Facility Operations, Student Assistant. An individual selected as a Student Supervisor will help accomplish these tasks while also assisting in overseeing and mentoring other staff members on a crew.

  • daily housekeeping and maintenance of locker rooms, offices, practice spaces, athletic fields, stadiums, etc.
  • game, event, and practice setup and tear down, including building conversions
  • attention to the cleanliness and setup of our facilities and grounds before, during, and after a variety of events and athletic competitions
  • light maintenance, such as painting, changing ceiling tile, and use of hand tools
