e Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Manchester for an Online A-Level Physics Tutor. The tutor will deliver high-quality 1-to-1 online lessons in A-Level Physics, focusing on exam technique, problem-solving, and targeted revision aligned to specific exam boards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning structured lesson content, setting and reviewing assignments, monitoring student progress, and providing clear feedback to students and, where appropriate, parents or guardians. The tutor will collaborate with the wider team to follow FutureFlow’s 4-step system, contribute to personalised revision roadmaps, and participate in regular check-ins to maintain student motivation and accountability. The role also involves using online platforms and digital tools to manage communication, lesson scheduling, and learning resources. (Pay: £15/h)

  • QualificationsStrong subject knowledge in Physics, with the ability to teach A-Level content clearly and confidently.
  • Competence in related Mathematics to support physics problem-solving and exam-style questions.
  • Experience or aptitude in Online Tutoring, including effective use

Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct biological and environmental sample collection from high-risk interfaces.
  • Assist with fieldwork including collecting biological samples from various animals and environmental samples including air, wastewater, soil, and surface sampling at various locations across Singapore.
  • Support laboratory processing of samples, including molecular assays, serological testing, nucleic acid extraction, PCR/RT-qPCR, and preparation for metagenomic sequencing.
  • Assist with data entry, sample tracking, database management, and maintenance of accurate research records.
  • Support administration of knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) surveys and participant recruitment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with biosafety, animal ethics, and human research protocols.
  • Contribute to data analysis, report writing, literature reviews, and preparation of presentations and manuscripts.
  • Liaise with collaborators, government agencies, and research partners.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology, Veterinary science, Life sciences, Microbiology, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in laboratory techniques such as PCR, molecular biology, microbiology, or serology is preferred.
  • Prior experience with field sampling, environmental surveillance, or animal handling would be advantageous.
  • Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to conduct fieldwork at multiple sites across Singapore and potentially outside standard working hours.
  • Familiarity with zoonotic diseases, One Health research, or infectious disease surveillance is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with data analysis software, survey tools, or bioinformatics pipelines is preferred but not required.

Accountabilities


  • Review, translate, localize, fact-check, and adapt sports-related content, primarily focused on football, for Japanese audiences.
  • Ensure localized content follows applicable writing style guides, linguistic guidelines, terminology, and quality standards.
  • Conduct market-specific research into Japanese content trends, terminology, audience preferences, and localization best practices.
  • Assess content for linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, readability, tone, and consistency.
  • Provide constructive feedback on written content and identify opportunities to improve localization quality.
  • Support quality-control activities across multimedia and other sports-related content formats.
  • Apply strong football subject-matter expertise to ensure terminology, context, and references are accurate and natural for the target audience.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 2 years of professional experience in linguistics, translation, localization, sports journalism, copywriting, copy-editing, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of sports, particularly football, including relevant terminology, competitions, players, teams, and fan culture.
  • Experience with translation and localization of multimedia content; experience with machine translation and language evaluation is an advantage.
  • Native-level fluency in Japanese with excellent grammar, writing, proofreading, and editing abilities.
  • Excellent written English skills and the ability to understand source content accurately.
  • Strong creative writing and editorial skills, with the ability to adapt voice and style for different audiences.
  • Practical technology skills, including confidence with computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets.
  • Ownership of a licensed version of Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Published sports-related work for established media platforms or similar outlets is a plus.
