UAS Sitka Campus Director
The University of Alaska Southeast seeks a student-focused and highly organized Student Support Specialist for the Sitka campus. This position serves as a primary point of contact and assists the academic advisors to provide crucial support and guidance to help students navigate their educational journey successfully. This position will provide comprehensive assistance to students; coordinate advising center logistics; assist with program promotion and outreach, including creation of visually appealing advertising and social media materials; and contribute to special projects, such as new student orientation and commencement.
To thrive in this role, a successful applicant will possess exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to manage a varied workload, be familiar with data management systems, and have strong problem-solving abilities to effectively connect students with the resources they need. As a key resource for the university, the Student Support Specialist will offer timely and accurate information to students and stakeholders regarding institutional policies, procedures, and academic programs. Creating clear and engaging informational materials along with the ability to share promotional content across multiple platforms is highly desirable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
