ABOUT YOU
Ideally, you will be someone who brings a positive and supportive approach every day. You will be passionate about helping our learners with additional needs to succeed and confident in adapting your support to suit different individuals and learning environments. Your calm, encouraging manner will help build strong relationships with both learners and staff, and you will approach challenges with patience and professionalism.
You will have solid English and maths skills and feel confident using these to support our learners as they build their own abilities. Experience of working with young people or adults with additional needs will be valuable, and you will be comfortable working both on your own and as part of a friendly, dedicated team. Being organised and reliable is important, especially when managing your own caseload and contributing to clear and meaningful learner records.
You will enjoy working across a range of curriculum areas, getting involved in different aspects of college life and supporting learners wherever they are. Your ability to motivate, adapt and keep learners engaged will help create an inclusive and encouraging learning environment. If you are ready to make a genuine difference and take on a varied and rewarding role, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Below is a list of some of the key skills, qualifications and experience we are seeking for this exciting opportunity.
