ABOUT YOU
Ideally, you will be someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and supporting their personal and academic development. You will bring a positive, proactive approach and have the confidence to engage with learners both in group settings and one-to-one.
You will be approachable, empathetic and a good listener, able to build trusting relationships with students while maintaining clear boundaries. You will be confident in identifying when a learner needs extra support and know how to respond appropriately, following safeguarding procedures and working closely with other staff and external agencies where needed.
Strong communication and organisational skills are key. You will be someone who can deliver engaging tutorials, keep accurate records, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the department. You will also be comfortable handling sensitive information and responding to a range of pastoral and academic issues.
Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role within an educational or support setting, and a good understanding of the challenges faced by young people in education today. You should be able to adapt your approach to suit individual needs and be committed to helping each learner achieve their potential. Most importantly, you will care deeply about making a difference and helping learners succeed in both their studies and wider lives.
