Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Student Wellbeing Adviser provides wellbeing advice and support to students. The role is a key point of contact for students within departments, offering a safe space for welfare support and guidance. The role is also proactively involved in wellbeing initiatives and awareness raising, for the betterment of the student experience. The student experience we provide is a substantial contributor to our success and we are aiming to further strengthen our provision by addressing the wellbeing and mental health challenges that students face.
The role will be located in the Faculty of Natural Science, within the Department of Chemistry.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

You would be responsible for providing a high level of wellbeing advice and mentoring within your department, including delivering effective short-term one-to-one support, providing ongoing support for longer term issues and providing an unbiased and non-judgmental listening service to students. You will work closely with other members of staff and support services within the university to ensure that students receive the help that they need.
