Perform static and dynamic simulations to analyze wire harness behavior, identifying potential failure points and enhancing designs for durability and reliability Collaborate with EDS engineers to improve ECAD and MCAD processes, including refining component databases and optimizing selection strategies. Build and test physical prototypes of wire harness designs using various manufacturing techniques (e.g., 3D printing, manual assembly) to validate concepts and iterate designs. Explore and implement new harness technologies for both prototype and production-ready designs, ensuring alignment with manufacturing processes. Pursuing a B.S in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Support vehicle integration and testing by troubleshooting electrical test assets (e.g., test benches, lab-cars) to validate electrical design functionality. Actively engage in comprehensive testing and validation activities to ensure efficient system functionality and performance. Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders, taking ownership of and resolving technical issues efficiently. Experience and working knowledge of systems development, vehicle electrical architecture, functional safety, and component level integration planning. Strong interest in mechanical integration focused on automotive electronics. Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to automotive concepts. Experience with electrical / electro-mechanical devices involving networked microcontrollers and embedded software. Experience with debugging and diagnosing issues across electrical, mechanical, and software domains. An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team. A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement. Visa sponsorship is available for this position.
