Description Career Level: Early-Mid Career Position Type: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt Location: Lititz, PA Entity: ALT Rock Lititz MISSION: (The essence of the job) The Studio Equipment Coordinator is responsible for designing and implementing systems that ensure the efficient management, maintenance, and deployment of technical equipment and other physical assets for educational programs and live events hosted at the Academy of Live Technology Rock Lititz. This role oversees equipment lifecycle planning, vendor relationships, and ensures operational standards meet stakeholder needs and support organizational goals. OUTCOMES: (What must get done and how will we measure success) Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with faculty and leadership to anticipate technical needs for curriculum and events Serve as the primary liaison for equipment-related decisions impacting educational programs Inventory Management: Develop and implement long-term equipment management strategies aligned with organizational objectives Design and implement systems for inventory control, maintenance scheduling, and equipment lifecycle tracking. Analyze usage trends and forecast future equipment needs to support growth and innovation. Perform regular audits and updates to the inventory database Equipment Evaluate ROI for equipment investments and present recommendations to leadership Maintenance & Safety Ensure compliance with safety regulations and school policies Inspect, test, and perform basic repairs on equipment Serve as receiving & maintenance contact for gear donations and rentals Schedule and coordinate professional servicing when needed Ensure all equipment is stored safely and securely Oversight of safety. Identifying and safely storing hazardous materials, entering SDS information, and perform routine inspection of gear/tools Facility Maintenance Maintain users/groups/schedules for building access, programming door lock & HVAC schedules, and program ID cards and keys for students and faculty Keeping supplies stocked and organized, managing vending machines Basic repairs (changing bulbs, tightening screws), paint touch ups, hanging signage Basic clean-up/trash removal in between professional cleaning, light snow removal Event Setup & Support: Ensure the 4 classrooms, 1 studio, and 2 event spaces are properly set up with the required equipment and configurations Coordinate with faculty and event organizers to meet specific set-up needs Reset rooms post-event to standard configurations Prepare and distribute equipment for classes, rehearsals, and live events Provide on-site technical support during school events as needed Student Engagement: Support faculty and student teams with school productions and events ensuring students are actively involved in the process Guide students in the safe, hands-on use of live event equipment, fostering skill development through faculty assigned tasks Training & Collaboration: Ensure students and staff are properly trained on equipment and facility safety protocols Collaborate with faculty and production teams to anticipate equipment needs Support curriculum development by advising on equipment capabilities Administrative Duties: Maintain documentation for equipment usage, damage reports, and repairs and assist with budgeting and purchasing new equipment Maintain classroom iPads, ensuring up to date software, troubleshooting issues Requirements PHYSICAL · Frequent moving and lifting equipment up to 50 lbs. · Frequent walking throughout campus but may remain stationary for long periods of time · Frequently uses manual dexterity to handle equipment, tools, and type · Frequent exposure to concert level audio output, lasers, bright or flashing light, fog, and other elements one might experience in a live event production environment · Forklift certification or willingness to become certified CRITICAL · Proven experience in live event production, technical theater, or AV coordination · Strong knowledge of audio, lighting, video, and staging equipment · Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic repair techniques · Excellent organizational and communication skills · Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed CULTURAL · A passion for live entertainment and working with young professionals · Strong ability to work with people and form relationships · Open to continuous learning in a dynamic environment, willingness to pivot as business needs shift · Ability to remain calm in difficult and/or complex situations and maintain an action oriented, problem-solving mindset · Demonstrate pride and ownership in your work In addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible.
