Studio Manager (Level 2) Role Summary As a Studio Manager (Level 2) at ASG, you will oversee the daily operations of the development test studio with minimal supervision. This role requires strong technical capability, organizational skill, and the ability to manage studio operations, testing activities, and client interactions. You will ensure all instrumentation is properly calibrated, testing is performed accurately, and studio processes meet ASG’s standards and best practices. You will also contribute to team development through informal mentoring of junior staff. Key Responsibilities Studio Operations & Management Manage all aspects of studio operations and remain current on studio management trends and emerging technologies. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on studio instrumentation. Coordinate calibration activities, including scheduling, vendor communication, and requesting quotes. Maintain calibration databases and documentation for all studio assets. Testing & Quality Control Perform routine development testing, including gauge R&Rs and preliminary testing. Evaluate existing testing methods and recommend improvements. Demonstrate familiarity with products and identify defects effectively. Compile test data, perform analysis, and prepare technical reports/documentation. Client Interaction & Problem Solving Communicate directly with clients and assist in resolving issues or questions related to testing or studio operations. Compliance & Best Practices Perform all duties in accordance with established business policies and best studio practices. Implement appropriate controls based on studio type. Follow ALCOA Principles and Test Principles to ensure quality and compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Metrology, or a related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience with a degree in Science, Metrology, or related discipline. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficient knowledge of studio management principles and practices. Strong understanding of development processes with motivation to improve them. Skilled in management and customer service (CMMS). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Strong time-management, organizational, and personal effectiveness skills. Ability to perform metrology and GLP/GMP/GDP practices.
