POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES This position will be working with Dr. Pierfilippo De Sanctis on an NIH funded R01 (R01AG082188) grant, “Linking dementia pathology and alteration in brain activation to complex daily functional decline during the preclinical dementia stage”. This study applies blood-based bio-markers to identify Alzheimer specific brain pathology and tracks the neurophysiology of mobility and cognition over time to improve prediction during the very early stages of AD. The Study Coordinator assists the Principal Investigator with collection of data and oversees recruitment of study participants, working in close coordination with the team and reporting directly to Dr. De Sanctis on day-to-day operations and progress. They assist with and conduct EEG data collection and analysis, as well as overseeing the management of participants. The study coordinator assists with daily quality assurance protocols and computer maintenance, database management and the backup and archiving of datasets to be recorded under this project. If needed, they may assist in the programming of experimental paradigms as well as in the first steps of data analysis. They may oversee participant recruitment, manage community engagement, and the development of recruitment materials. They will assist with the preparation and submission of materials for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other regulatory bodies. The study coordinator will: Implement study protocols; Perform data collection and quality control of study data; Develop recruitment methods Oversee the process by which participants are recruited into the study; Develop and implement methods to track and follow-up with study participants; Oversee screening/enrollment and scheduling for completeness and accuracy; Implement quality control procedures; Assist in the preparation of grants for future studies. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree required Prior experience with human subject research protocols (especially involving EEG) preferred. Experience analyzing and presenting data desirable. Database management experience desirable Minimum Salary Range Maximum Salary Range USD $58,500.00/Yr.
