ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in science-related discipline (degree in veterinary medicine preferred but not essential).
  • Adequate understanding of research and/or development processes with broad scientific and technical knowledge (including knowledge of animal health products, parasites and disease).
  • Excellent scientific/technical writing and communication skills (fluency in English is required). A working understanding of VICH GCP/OECD GLP standards is desirable but not essential.
  • Effective time management allowing completion of business-critical tasks as required
  • Enthusiasm and energy for the role with a strong drive for achievement.
  • Driver’s licence and willingness to work on-site in Kemps Creek, Western Sydney.
  • Must be located in Australia and have full working rights to work in Australia.
  • Ability to work additional or flexible hours as required.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As a Study Manager, you will support the operational direction and plan, design, implement, manage and report clinical studies, ensuring optimal output from the site for the development of new animal health products and label extensions for existing products for the global and regional (ANZ) markets.

You will:

  • Act as an Investigator and/or Study Director in GxP studies by developing protocols and reports in collaboration with global project teams.
  • Be responsible for the conduct of complex studies for the evaluation of compounds and assist in the interpretation of these studies.
  • Plan, perform, interpret and report results of field and laboratory studies in both livestock and companion animals.
  • Design, review and make recommended changes to scientific protocols and procedures.
  • Liaise with external parties in early research projects and implement and oversee disease models.
  • Ensure timely availability of information for the AEC (Animal Ethics Committee) and co-operate with the Animal Welfare Officer, to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare are maintained.
  • Manage studies, documentation and work according to, and in compliance with, external and internal guidelines ( e.g. SOPs, VICH, FDA, OECD, GxP, HSE and Animal Welfare Code of Practice).
  • Collaborate with other associates to facilitate knowledge exchange. Assist with training and coaching peers as required.
  • Assist with the identification, communication and planning of resource requirements.
  • Assist with planning opportunities to determine operational priorities- ensuring continuous improvement of system processes and efficiencies across team resources
