Description
The Study Manager be responsible for leading the preparation and delivery of process and test work studies that form the foundation for JordProxa’s technology-based solutions. These studies support projects in the battery chemicals, minerals processing, and water/effluent treatment sectors. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, project coordination, and commercial awareness. You will work closely with sales, engineering and R&D teams to ensure studies are completed to a high standard and clearly demonstrate JordProxa’s value proposition. You will also work collaboratively with Sales Managers to help convert study outcomes into future supply opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities: Study Planning, Coordination and Delivery: Lead and coordinate the execution of studies, ensuring scope, deliverables, and timelines are clearly defined and achieved. Work collaboratively with internal teams — including Process, R&D, Mechanical, and Estimating — to ensure study inputs are accurate, integrated, and consistent with project objectives. Develop and maintain detailed study schedules and ensure coordination across disciplines and time zones. Manage multiple study assignments simultaneously while maintaining quality and responsiveness to client needs. Ensure study reports and presentations are professional, clear, and tailored to client expectations. Attend weekly/fortnightly review meetings with customers and present progress of the study work. Sales and Business Development Support: Work closely with the Sales team to prepare compelling study proposals that meet specific client objectives and highlight JordProxa’s technical and commercial value. Participate in client presentations and review meetings to communicate study findings, address clarifications, and support progression to project award. Contribute to the early sales engagement process by developing study scopes, schedules, and budgets aligned with customer requirements. Develop study reports and tenders at the end of studies Technical and Commercial Coordination: Oversee the preparation of deliverables including PFDs, mass and energy balances, equipment lists, 3D models, etc. Evaluate process alternatives and recommend optimal solutions based on technical merit, cost, and risk profile. Coordinate with the estimating team to develop accurate capital and operating cost estimates aligned with study findings. Oversee preparation of estimates for firm proposals typic in collaboration with the estimating team. Quality, Risk, and Compliance: Ensure all studies are executed in compliance with company standards for health, safety, environment, and quality. Identify potential risks during study development and propose appropriate mitigation strategies. Conduct internal reviews of study deliverables to maintain technical integrity and consistency. Handover and Continuous Improvement Support the handover of completed studies to Sales and Project Execution teams, ensuring assumptions, risks, and key findings are clearly communicated. Capture lessons learned from completed studies to continuously improve quality, methodology, and efficiency of future work. Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across regional teams to enhance global capability. Implement tools, templates, or methods to enhance study effectiveness and team productivity. Skills and Experience: Graduate degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Process Engineering Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in managing studies / projects / proposals within the minerals processing, battery chemicals, or water treatment sectors. Strong understanding of process technologies such as crystallization, evaporation, precipitation, effluent treatment, water treatment desirable. Experienced industry professional with a solid track record in project execution, commissioning, and operations. Commercial awareness and ability to align study outcomes with client and business objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing clear study reports and presenting findings to clients and internal stakeholders. Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent studies across global teams and time zones. A proactive, positive, and collaborative attitude, with a strong focus on value creation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
