Raytheon is seeking an innovative, high-energy, self-motivated Subcontract Administrator to join the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit and be a valued teammate and contributor. This role will support one of the program areas within the space portfolio and other exciting new business pursuits within the product line. The candidate will support activities related to multi-year subcontracts. This role will interact with subcontractors’ cross-functional teams and their lower tier suppliers to ensure subcontractors provide on-time delivery of compliant product/service at or below program budget.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supply chain, subcontract, logistics, operations, material management, contract function and/or compliance role.
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience preparing and negotiating Department of Defense subcontracts.
  • Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) subcontract types.
  • Experience with SAP or PRISM

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage subcontracts and represent Supply Chain organization at various levels on functional and cross-functional teams to drive business success.
  • Negotiate and administer Firm Fixed Price or Time and Material subcontracts.
  • Evaluate, identify, and select suppliers and business partners.
  • Generate and negotiate Teaming Agreements and other related agreements.
  • Work closely with Program Office representatives and Engineering to define and implement procurement strategies and develop subcontract Statements of Work.
  • Solicit proposals from prospective subcontractors and employ value analysis techniques to analyze cost/price, technical capability and financial viability, conducting investigations to ensure ability to perform within cost and schedule.
  • Monitor and report cost, schedule and status of subcontractors and recommend or implement corrective action as necessary.
  • Prepare subcontract documentation in accordance with established company, customer and government regulations.
