The role is responsible for handling simple to medium Subcontract activities and provide Procurement support to AECOM Project team, and supplier relationship and performance management while driving compliance and delivering strategic value. Responsibilities & Duties - Follow and enforce procurement related policies and procedures. - Develop understanding of subcontracting terminology. - Foster relationships internally with stakeholders and externally with suppliers and other groups. - Present the subcontracting and procurement process to stakeholders in an effective manner. - Assist the business when projects depart from basic procurement principles. - Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, solve problems, and make efficient and effective supply management decisions. - Perform subcontracting and procurement functions. - Develop understanding of procurement systems and tools. - Assist with preparation and solicit Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for all services and goods. - Prepare and executes Purchase Orders and Subcontracts. - Negotiate deviations from company terms and conditions and minimum insurance requirements. - Maintain subcontract and procurement documentation. - Contact subcontractors for timely submittal of proposals and clarifications. Preferred Qualifications - +2 years of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction within a multi-location, project-based industry - Experience in subcontracting or other procurement functions. - Ability to understand subcontracting and procurement terminology. - Competency to perform subcontracting and procurement management functions. - Experience in managing tactical and strategic supplier relationships. - Analytical abilities. - Experience in managing tactical and strategic supplier relationships. · Intermediate computer skills and ability to use procurement systems, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and PowerPoint Additional Information Attributes - Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a varied audience and internal and external customers; ability to confidently present to senior business leaders (Communication) - Ability to maintain good customer relationships with the ability to initiate ways to improve customer support experience (Customer Service) - Ability to be thorough and meticulous in completing assigned tasks and with the ability to propose ways to prevent or eliminate errors, discrepancies & issues. (Attention to Detail) - Ability to identify and resolve moderate and complex issues by applying best practices and technical expertise and may recommend solutions for unique scenarios; ability to drive improvements.
