THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a motivated Subcontracts Specialist to join our E7 business division. The position is based in the Brisbane CBD.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies:

  • Three to five (3-5) years’ or more work experience in contracts management with prior experience in an engineering or project delivery organization being highly desirable;
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in law, commerce or business;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
  • Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed in contracting and their interdependencies with other project activities (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team focused environment.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements and applicants with current Australian defence clearances are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

In supporting the position, the successful candidate will be required to:

  • Develop approaches to market for simple to complex work packages;
  • Plan, draft, execute and manage a range of contracts types;
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Maintain a relationship with suppliers and drive collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;
  • Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning and progress reporting; and
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain management and program corporate governance policies and procedures.
