JOB SUMMARY

The Subject Access Request Officer plays a crucial role in managing and processing requests for personal data under data protection legislation. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills, who can ensure compliance with legal requirements while providing excellent service to individuals requesting access to their information. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of data protection principles and demonstrate proficiency in office administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a data protection or compliance environment.
  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management software is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with individuals at all levels.
  • Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate records is essential.
  • Knowledge of upselling techniques may be beneficial for enhancing service delivery where applicable.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Manage and process subject access requests in accordance with relevant data protection laws and organisational policies.
  • Review and assess requests to determine the scope of information required, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals making requests, providing guidance on the process and any additional information needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all requests and responses, ensuring data integrity through meticulous data entry practices.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather requested information, ensuring timely responses to requests.
  • Conduct regular audits of data handling practices to ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including filing, document management, and general office duties.
  • Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when communicating with stakeholders regarding their requests.
