Your next career opportunity As the Subject Coordinator for the Foundations for Clinical Practice subject in the first year of the Doctor of Medicine programme, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and assessment for medical students. You will collaborate with experienced academic and professional staff to continuously refine and innovate the first year of the MD’s curriculum, ensuring it remains responsive to feedback and evolving with educational practices. This role offers you the chance to drive educational excellence and contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include: Lead Curriculum Development: Undertake quality improvements in the FCP(first year of the MD) curriculum, collaborate with experts, and optimise materials on the MD Canvas platform. Innovate Assessment Practices: Develop and implement an assessment blueprint, contribute to item evaluation, and coordinate Board of Examiners meetings. Foster Student Success: Oversee student progress, support engagement, and collaborate with staff for effective delivery of teaching activities. Engage in Scholarly Activities: Contribute to scholarly outputs, maintain key relationships, and attend health education seminars. You may be a great fit if: You are an experienced health professions educator with a strong background in curriculum development, assessment design, and leadership, committed to enhancing the educational experience for medical students. You may also: Possess a health professional qualification registerable with AHPRA. Demonstrate excellence in teaching and innovative course development. Exhibit strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Have excellent interpersonal skills and experience in collaborative networks.
