Responsibilities:
Noblis MSD is seeking a candidate with Navy nuclear propulsion plant experience to provide technical expertise to the Navy’s Submarine Propulsion Plant Engineering Activity (PPEA).

Responsibilities shall include:

  • Perform collection and analysis of submarine non-reactor propulsion plant system and component health information for all four current classes of submarines.
  • Assist Navy engineers in understanding system health assessment (SHA) requirements and gather required information to support the generation of the SHA.
  • Obtain technical data and review information from various Navy databases on reliability and maintenance data for use by Navy engineers and PPEA Staff
  • Receive, evaluate, and interpret information received from the Fleet, as well as relevant data sources, to determine the best course of action to ensure reliable operation of submarine systems, and report on findings.
  • Perform processing and dissemination of Naval Messages.
  • Propose changes to improve reliability, maintainability, and sustainability of submarine systems.
  • Provide technical support for issuing Fleet-messages, In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) Advisories, and technical notices to the Fleet and other agencies to disseminate vital information.
  • Perform processing, analysis, and dissemination of Casualty Reports (CASREPs), Liaison Action Requests (LARs), Departures from Specifications (DFS) Reviews for Navy program office review.
  • Develop and/or modify of Navy PPEA Standard Operating Processes (SOP).
  • Perform the development and/or modification, documentation, and future revision of Navy processes, including development of process maps.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 0-3 years of experience OR Associate’s degree & 3+ years of experience or HS Diploma & 6 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior submarine Propulsion Plant experience required & training at The US Navy’s Nuclear Power School
  • US Citizen and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
