Candidates without valid work permit in Norway and NORSOK experience from operator will not be evaluated Consultant Request Start Date 02/03/2026 Consultant Request End Date 01/03/2029 The Subsea Controls Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning and safe execution of project activities related to the Subsea Production System (SPS) Control System. The role covers both subsea and topside elements of the control system and plays a key role in technical integration and interface management.The position is part of the project technical team and reports to the System Integration Lead, providing support to the SPS delivery team and interfacing closely with Asset Operations. Responsibilities Support planning and safe execution of project activities related to the SPS Control System. Contribute to delivery and integration of subsea control components, including: Subsea Control Modules (SCM) Electrical harnesses Hydraulic flying leads and connection plates Pressure and temperature sensors Flowmeters Sand detection systems Hydrocarbon Leak Detection systems Support delivery of topside elements of the Subsea Control System, including: Topside-installed Subsea Power and Control Units (SPCU) Integration with the Master Control System (MCS) Ensure effective technical integration between subsea and topside control systems. Key Accountabilities Hold system ownership and lead the technical integration of the Subsea Control System. Manage interfaces related to the control system and control umbilical delivery, involving both internal and external stakeholders. Provide field experience and operational knowledge to the SPS delivery team, including lessons learned and best practices. Ensure system design complies with the Design Basis and Functional Requirements and is correctly implemented in the overall control system design. Perform and coordinate discipline document reviews. Support and promote continuous improvement across the project. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Control Systems, Subsea Engineering, or related discipline). Relevant experience may compensate for formal education. Experience Experience with Subsea Production Systems (SPS) and subsea control systems. Solid understanding of subsea instrumentation, control modules, umbilicals, and control system architecture. Experience with topside/subsea control system integration, including SPCU and MCS interfaces. Previous involvement in EPC, EPCI, or operator-led offshore projects is an advantage. Experience working with suppliers, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Technical Skills Knowledge of subsea control system design, testing, and integration. Familiarity with applicable industry standards and design requirements. Experience with technical documentation, design reviews, and interface management. Understanding of system integration, FAT/SAT, and commissioning support activities.
