As a Substance Recovery Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are either seeking recovery or navigating their ongoing journey. You will provide compassionate counseling, personalized treatment plans, and critical resources to individuals, groups, and families affected by substance misuse. Your role will be one of encouragement, offering both emotional support and practical guidance to help clients overcome challenges and achieve lasting recovery. You will empower clients to rebuild their lives and thrive within their communities. Key Responsibilities • Conduct intake evaluations with clients to determine their needs and recommend best next steps • Provide individual and group counseling sessions • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources • Maintain accurate and confidential client records • Participate in ongoing training and professional development • A few hours of weeknight availability each week Preferred • Unencumbered license in social work, counseling, psychology, or marriage and family counseling • Prior experience in substance abuse counseling • Bilingual – Spanish Qualifications * Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Services, Public Health, or related field with respective license. Bachelor degree in applicable field may be accepted in lieu of above.
