As a Substation Lead Civil / Structural Engineer, you will be involved in: The candidate will function as a Lead Engineer, providing technical leadership across projects, conducting and overseeing design reviews, establishing engineering standards, and mentoring and developing junior engineering staff. The role includes active participation in bid strategy, proposal development, and technical solution positioning. This role will serve as the Responsible Engineer and technical authority on major client projects, directing engineering execution, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring quality control and technical excellence across all design deliverables. Serve as a primary client interface for technical matters, leading kick-off meetings, technical presentations, and lunch-and-learn sessions, while building and maintaining strong client relationships. Accountable for ensuring compliance with quality management systems, safe work practices, and adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget expectations. Proactively manage technical risk and drive corrective actions when needed. Act as a senior technical leader within a multidisciplinary design team consisting of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians, setting direction, delegating responsibilities, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements): 4+ years of prior relevant experience Bachelor of Science Engineering discipline, preferably in Civil-Structural Engineering. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
