We are seeking an experienced Substation Package Manager for the construction of a new 110 kV AIS Substation as part of a larger project development on a new-build project in Platin, County Meath.
The role is to manage the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the 110 kV AIS substation as part of a larger new build project contributing to successful delivery within budget and time constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the delivery of HV Substations in Ireland.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly for earthworks and structural costs.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on teamwork.
  • Familiarity with Irish construction laws and environmental considerations.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a concept for the delivery of the 110 kV AIS substation
  • Develop a scope of works and review the specification for the design and build package
  • Manage the procurement process of the contractor including responding to TQs and negotiation of commercial terms and conditions
  • Manage the execution of the design and build contract
  • Manage the stakeholder interface including the customer, the network and the TSO.
  • Monitor the progress of the project
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure accurate cost tracking for the project.
  • Identify and manage cost risks, including contingencies for unforeseen site conditions.
  • Certify progress claims of contractors
  • Prepare and review variations and negotiate final accounts.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Stay informed on Irish construction regulations, industry standards, and market trends.
