As an Engineering Associate III – Electrical, you’ll play a key role in advancing renewable energy projects through detailed electrical design, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and mentorship of junior engineers. This position is ideal for someone ready to take the next step toward technical leadership while growing their design expertise. What You’ll Do Create complex electrical drawings and perform advanced design calculations with limited supervision. Execute complex grading and stormwater management designs, optimizing for constructability and efficiency. Review project documentation and develop the Basis of Design (BOD) for assigned projects. Participate in cross-discipline submittal reviews to ensure cohesive project delivery. Engage in client meetings and assist project managers with technical discussions and design clarifications. Draft clear and professional client correspondence and develop an understanding of client preferences to enhance project alignment. Review and interpret local and state electrical design codes and ordinances for compliance. Assist in training and mentoring engineers on software, design concepts, and calculation methods. Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time completion and design quality. Provide structured feedback and input to improve project efficiency and documentation standards. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. 4–7 years of relevant engineering experience preferred. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other drafting or electrical design software. Familiarity with lighting and lightning calculation software. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
