The YMCA of Fox Cities is hiring part-time substitute child care teachers. All child care teachers at the Y interact affectionately and respectfully with children. Our teachers enhance children’s learning experiences through play, language and interactive activities. As a part-time teacher in YoungStar-rated child care center, you’ll use positive procedures when guiding behavior as well as being attentive, flexible and supportive of children and families.

This is a part-time position with opportunities to be a substitute teacher at our Appleton ( Appleton, Apple Creek & Child Learning Center ), Greenville ( Fox West ), Neenah ( Neenah-Menasha ) and Kimberly ( Heart of the Valley ) child care centers. We will work with your schedule to find the right fit.

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI.
• Lead-qualified early childhood teacher is preferred or willing to complete after hiring.

Requirements to be Considered a Lead-Qualified Teacher

• Minimum of Introduction to the Child Care Profession & Skills and Strategies for the Childcare Teacher or equivalent.
• Teachers working in an infant room must have Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care or its equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• Associates degree in Early Childhood education is preferred but not required.
• 1 to 2 years of experience working with children.
