Description Title: School Bus Driver (substitute, part time) Reports to: Assistant Director of Transportation Laurel School seeks talented faculty and staff who will put our students first and strive to make a difference in their lives. Position Summary: The substitute school bus driver will be responsible for providing transportation support to assist faculty, staff, and students in achieving goals through shuttling between our two campuses, field trips, and athletic activities. Evening and weekend hours are occasionally required. Additional duties and responsibilities include: Transportation of students throughout NE Ohio & beyond Completes daily pre-trip inspections on vehicles Daily cleaning of vehicles Assists supervisor with special projects and events Assists students and faculty with loading gear onto buses Other duties as assigned Requirements A high school diploma or GED certificate required. Candidates should possess the following: CDL Class B or willing to train School bus endorsement, air brake endorsement, passenger endorsement Detail oriented and punctual Knowledge of the local area in order to provide best routes of transportation Must pass BCI/FBI background check Must pass physical (T8) Drivers will attend required Ohio pre service class, paid for by Laurel School Laurel is willing to accept candidates who are interested in obtaining the required qualifications and will compensate for training.
