The Role

We are seeking Substitute Teachers to join our team and provide instructional support across all grade levels and subject areas. As a substitute with SEA, you will:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in alignment with Alberta curriculum.
  • Support Stoney language and culture integration in daily teaching.
  • Contribute to land-based and outdoor learning experiences where applicable.
  • Provide inclusive learning support for diverse student needs, working alongside Student Success teams.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment that supports student growth.

Qualifications

  • Alberta Teaching Certificate (Interim or Permanent).
  • Knowledge of Alberta curriculum outcomes.
  • Respect and understanding of Indigenous cultures, languages, and ways of knowing (experience with Stoney Nakoda culture is an asset).
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to different teaching assignments.
