Job Title: High School Substitute Teacher Reports to: Principal Location: Bishop Verot Catholic School | Ft. Myers, FL   Overview: Bishop Verot Catholic High School builds relationships centered on faith, learning, and leadership devoted to educating the whole person, utilizing innovative technologies, empowering students through collaborative experiences, and cultivating a spirit of service while grounded in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Bishop Verot Catholic High School in Fort Myers, Florida is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This position is on an as-needed basis. Job duties include, but are not limited to:   Essential Duties: * Plan and deliver educational instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned when regular teacher is unavailable. * Provide corrective feedback to students and re-teach as necessary, to insure students have mastered the objections. * Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians and other educators to assist the students. * Implement approved-course curriculum. * Implement modifications in a student’s education plan as required. * Complete written reports and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned by Principal. Qualifications * Bachelor’s Degree * Florida State Certification (or approved application for Certification) * Excellent oral and written communications skills. * Ability to work independently and in groups. * Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask * Knowledge of theory and practice of student learning styles * Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful circumstances * Ability to communicate cooperatively and effectively with staff, students and parents. * Strong computer skills.  
Responsibilities
The Substitute Teacher plans and delivers educational instruction when the regular teacher is unavailable. They provide feedback to students and collaborate with parents and other educators to support student learning.
