Job Details Job Location: Edgewood - Columbus, GA 31907 Position Type: Seasonal Education Level: High School Salary Range: $11.26 - $11.26 Hourly Job Category: Education SUMMARY: Substitute Teacher assumes the full role and responsibilities of the Teacher in his/her absence, provides support to regular classroom staff for the establishment, maintenance and management of all classroom activities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implements daily lesson plans and daily schedules. Organizes and maintains learning centers within the classroom. Maintains order by using positive approaches to behavior management. Recruits volunteers and solicits in-kind contributions. Attends meetings, trainings and workshop as required. Maintains cleanliness of classrooms and adjoining restrooms. Serves as an advocate for the Head Start Program, families and children. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma and/or GED and At least one year experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting Preferred Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implements daily lesson plans and daily schedules. Performs other duties as assigned. CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATION: Must have current driver’s license and access to use of automobile with current insurance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
