Position Overview We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to join our team on an as-needed basis. This role is perfect for individuals who love working with children and need flexibility in their schedule. Substitute Teachers will fill in for classroom staff during absences, vacations, or training days. Our center operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and substitute shifts may vary depending on classroom coverage needs. Key Responsibilities Support classroom teachers in providing a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Follow lesson plans and routines established by the lead teacher to ensure continuity of care and learning. Engage with children in meaningful play, learning activities, and group interactions. Maintain a clean and organized classroom while following all health and safety guidelines. Communicate effectively and positively with children, staff, and families. Adapt to different age groups and classrooms as needed throughout the day. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred). Experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting. Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to different classroom environments. Strong communication skills and a caring, patient demeanor. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
