Description Short-Term Substitute Teacher Reports to: Principal St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic School is accepting applications for substitute teachers for the 2026-27 school year. Job Description: A trained professional who provides temporary classroom instruction and supervision when a regular teacher is unavailable for a short period. The Short-Term Substitute Teacher supports the learning environment by following established lesson plans, maintaining order, and promoting the values of Catholic education. This is a temporary, part-time position serving as needed to ensure continuity in instruction and care for students. Responsibilities: Provides instruction according to lesson plans and classroom procedures established by the regular teacher or administration. Maintains a positive, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment. Supervises students to ensure safety and engagement in learning. Communicates with school staff regarding student progress or classroom needs. Models Christian behavior and supports the mission of Catholic education. Qualifications: Minimum of sixty (60) college credit hours preferred. Prior classroom or child supervision experience desirable. Commitment to the philosophy and teachings of the Catholic Church. Effective communication, flexibility, and reliability.
