Buffalo Trail Public Schools (BTPS) is actively looking for substitute teachers to join our amazing team. Thank you for your interest in applying to BTPS to be on the substitute teacher list. You must submit your completed application online through Apply to Education. You will be contacted through your email address if you have been approved or not.

The following substitute teacher forms must be completed in its entirety for your application to be considered:

• Cover letter: addressed to Ms. Camille Quinton, Assistant Superintendent Human Resources, requesting authorization to teach in our division
• Resume: which includes a chronological listing of previous teaching experience (grade/subject) and IFX and AFX placements
• 3 Professional references: must include email contact information listed in the resume (letters may be included). If just completed a placement within BTPS, we will accept a letter from the principal and/or co-operating teacher
• with VOID personal cheque attached
• : signed and witnessed (the witness cannot be a spouse or relative)
• : must have at least one school selected
• Alberta Teaching Certificate: copy uploaded to profile
• Original Criminal Record Check: must be within the last 6 months of when applying, submit the original to the central office, it will be returned to you at your request
• Original TQS statement: the original will be returned to you at your request. If you have applied, and it hasn’t been issued yet, you must submit a copy of the letter. You may be approved to sub without a TQS statement, but it may impact payment at grid
• Statements of Years of Experience: from previous employing boards

Documents must be completely filled in. For example, you will be asked for your SIN on the employee form, and you must also fill it in on both the tax forms.
