Subsystems Engineer (m/f/d) Communications Systems

Your Tasks

  • System design of reflector antenna systems
  • Creation of system specifications and system documentation
  • Design, simulation and laboratory construction of complex transmit and receive chains
  • Cooperation with partner companies for component selection and coordination of new developments
  • Carrying out commissioning and tests at subsystem and system level at system locations worldwide
  • Supervision of satellite test and LEOP activities
  • Review of system designs in the field of satellite communication
  • Supervision of tests at ground stations
  • Assumption of system automation and electrical design/commissioning tasks with support from the specialist teams

Your Qualifications

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, ideally specializing in communications engineering/high-frequency engineering, initial professional experience is required, preferably in the aerospace sector
  • Experience with measurement technology in the field of high-frequency measurement technology
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Matlab/Python is desirable
  • Experience in the interpretation of electrical circuit diagrams is desirable
  • Structured way of working and hands-on mentality are not opposites for you
  • Confident and professional handling of conflict situations
  • Ability to self-manage, especially in times of high workload
  • Good command of written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Enjoy teamwork and variety
  • Proactive communication style and proactive way of working
  • Willingness to travel worldwide to commission systems, carry out satellite tests and tests at ground stations
