The Gatehouse is a Christian 501c3 founded in 2015 to give a hand up to women and children overcoming crisis, so they are empowered to become permanently self-sustainable. The Gatehouse Program allows families to achieve the dignity of earned success through a career-based income, financial stability, and the skills to manage their emotional, spiritual, and physical health. POSITION SUMMARY

The Success Coach is responsible for empowering Members to become self-sustainable through The Gatehouse Program. During the time a family is in the Program, the primary goal of the Success Coach is to serve as coach and positive role model, providing accountability and guidance so Members reach their goals for permanent, positive change. The Success Coach will demonstrate and model The Gatehouse values of faith, love, excellence, and empowerment and navigate conversations related to Christianity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university, Master’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of FERPA laws and regulations preferred
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; Data Management Software
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of Members outside of regular business hours
  • Ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task-oriented, nonjudgmental approach, and a clear sense of professional boundaries; strong sense and respect for “confidentiality”Reinforce the mission and Christian foundation of The Gatehouse by modeling and integrating Biblical principles and Christian philosophy throughout all activities and interactions related to this position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

  • Must be able to stand, sit at a desk, and work on a computer for prolonged periods
  • Must have the flexibility to climb, balance, bend, crouch, walk, kneel, and sit for prolonged periods

  • Must have the acuity to read information from computer screens, forms, and other printed materials and information
  • Must be able to lift and move objects and equipment up to 20 pounds

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet/moderate
Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Stays informed about clients’ desired career, the requisite being industry experience, and necessary education to uphold accountability for clients’ targeted wage goals.
  • Coaches Members on monthly goal setting. Supports Member in the creation and monthly tracking of financial management and budgeting throughout their program.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners in providing support and accountability to assigned Members.
  • Guides Members through best practices in college navigation and support services.
  • Monitors and reviews progress, issues, and challenges with Members and Support Team. Proactively and promptly communicates updates, concerns, and additional needs for assigned Members to the Support Team, including their Counselor.
  • Ensure appropriate engagement in all areas of the Program. Assist Members with problem solving, life skills development, and spiritual development. Reinforce change talk and inner transformation through empowerment activities.
  • Ensure Community Safety Rules and Program Engagement Expectations are being followed by assigned Members and their children. Promptly track and address infractions or other safety issues as needed.
  • Guides Members through class enrollment, semester scheduling, support service research and scheduling, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid/FAFSA.
  • Monitors and evaluates Members’ employment and education objectives to ensure Program deadlines are met.
  • Possess a working knowledge of self-care practices, trauma informed care practices, and crisis intervention techniques. Able to navigate difficult conversations.
  • Input accurate and complete data for all contact with Gatehouse Members into the database software system and ensure all documents submitted on behalf of a Member are valid and submitted by established deadlines.
  • Initiate and lead multidisciplinary meetings and other Member related discussions. Acts as primary point of contact between Support Team and assigned Gatehouse Members.
  • Schedules and meets with Members on assigned caseload, outside of regular business hours when needed.
  • Works with related partners to plan and execute Program events throughout the year for Members.
  • Participates in staff meetings, staff training, company events, individual and collaborative Member meetings, and Member Review sessions.
  • Adheres to FERPA guidelines as well as agency confidentiality guidelines, procedures, and professional code of ethics. Ensures compliance with all state and local employment laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
