Hermiston School District is seeking a full-time, Success Coordinator/Graduation Coach. The successful candidate will provide the administration and staff with leadership and communication focusing on the at-risk student population as a Tier 2 intervention specialist. Much of the work with students is personalized to the student’s needs and is often one-on-one. Target start date August 2025.
The Success Coordinator’s role is to guide at-risk 9th and 10th graders to academic success and the completion of a high school diploma. As the team leader of the 9th and 10th Grade Success Teams, the candidate will facilitate intervention systems and processes for early identification of students who need extra support.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with secondary/post-secondary students.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate strategies for reducing behaviors that keep students from graduating.
  • Ability to easily connect with students and continually monitor progress.
  • Conduct analyses that focus on data for individual students and sub-groups.
  • Knowledge and ability to synthesize data into functional forms of communication.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
