                                This is a district-wide position and may require work to be performed at multiple campuses or locations as needed.                                                          Job Description: Success Coordinator Department: Advising & Success                                                                                                                                                                    Pay Classification: 100 (Minimum Salary: $45,000) Reports To:  Director of Advising & Success                                                                                                                                                  FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Success Coordinator implements, facilitates, and coordinates academic advising, academic planning, and student support services designed to promote student success, retention, and completion. This position works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and community partners to support students through targeted interventions, career exploration, and academic pathway planning. Minimum Required Education:                                      Master’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field                                                         Counseling license preferred ---------------------------------------- Minimum Required  Experience:                                  Three years of supervisory and/or management experience                                                         Three years of experience in financial aid, admissions, advising, counseling, or higher education. ---------------------------------------- Core Duties and  Required Knowledge:                  Demonstrates expertise in Academic Advising and Student Success Center operations, policies, and best practices.                                                          Applies knowledge of ADA requirements and student accommodations to ensure equitable access to services.                                                          Utilizes career coaching techniques, retention strategies, and student success initiatives to guide students effectively.                                                          Leverages community resources and external partnerships to support student referrals and holistic success.                                                          Interprets and manages financial data and budget considerations to support program operations.                                                          Implements strategic and tactical planning to develop and execute student success initiatives.                                                          Utilization of the Jenzabar system.                                                          Advises students on academic pathways, transfer opportunities, and articulation agreements with clarity and accuracy.                                                          Navigates university transfer processes and career exploration platforms, including Kuder Journey and College Central Network (CCN).                                                          Upholds the mission, vision, and values of Hill College in all student interactions and program initiatives. ---------------------------------------- Strategic Vision and  Program Development:               Manages and maintains student support services, including focus groups, one-on-one meetings, tutoring, academic planning, workshops, speakers, and other targeted interventions.                                                          Develops and maintains referral networks with community organizations and external partners to support student success.                                                           Participates in the investigation, development, and implementation of new services and processes in response to student needs and trends.                                                           Researches career patterns, occupational data, and labor market trends to support student educational planning.                                                           Assists with the administration of career exploration platforms, including Kuder Journey and College Central Network (CCN).                                                           Supports institutional student success, retention, and pathway initiatives. Collaboration:                               Provides students with information on degrees, certificates, programs, and course requirements.                                                          Communicates degree plans, graduation requirements, articulation agreements, and transfer guides.                                                          Administers and interprets student placement, risk, and career assessments to recommend advising strategies and interventions.                                                          Assists the Director of Academic Advising and Student Success Center with advising and career placement training for faculty and staff.                                                          Works with developmental learning faculty and staff to develop and implement student success strategies.                                                          Serves as a resource to faculty and staff in the retention and remediation of at-risk student populations.                                                           Participates in internal and external events representing the college and promoting student success initiatives.                                                           Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment that provides a sense of belonging for all.
