Peer Support Specialist – Recovery Center SeaView Community Services – Seward, Alaska Full-Time | Temporary Housing Included | Behavioral Health | Recovery Services Are you passionate about helping others through their recovery journey? SeaView Community Services is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to join our Recovery Center team in beautiful Seward, Alaska—a community surrounded by mountains and ocean, where your work can truly make a difference. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will use your lived experience with substance use recovery to provide hope, encouragement, and guidance to individuals navigating similar challenges. You’ll be part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team committed to person-centered care. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide peer-to-peer support to clients in our 3.5 Residential, PHP, and Recovery Housing programs. * Share personal experiences of recovery to inspire hope and model healthy behavior and coping skills. * Support clients in developing recovery goals, building social connections, and accessing community resources. * Facilitate recovery groups and activities. * Document services in compliance with agency and grant standards. QUALIFICATIONS * Self-identify as a person with lived experience in recovery. * Current Peer Support Certification or ability to obtain upon hire (training will be provided). * Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and maintain healthy boundaries. * Strong communication and active listening skills. * High school diploma or equivalent required.
