OVERVIEW: The Cowichan Tribes Ts’ewulhtun Health Center Sul’hween (Elders) Program is an interdisciplinary team consisting of Registered Nurses, Personal Care Worker (PCW) Team Lead, PCW’s, Sul’hween Advocate, Administrative Coordinator, Program Drivers, Meals on Wheels Driver and Kitchen Staff.
PURPOSE: Reporting to the Sul’hween Program and Nursing Manager, the Sul’hween Nurse Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day professional guidance, feedback, support and leadership to the Nursing team and PCW Team Lead and provide registered Nursing Services to Cowichan Sul’hween. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Ts’ewulhtun Health Centre staff, Cowichan Tribes Sul’hween and other health service providers to implement best practices and quality standards to ensure effective delivery of Nursing services to meet Sul’hween health and wellness needs. This is a full-time, 35-hour per week, permanent position that works primarily in office with moderate to local travel required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Cowichan Tribes offers an excellent benefit and pension plan available after successful completion of the probationary period. The position includes paid training, paid vacation and paid sick leave. Depending on experience, the position starts at $53.29 - $55.85 per hour ($96,990.63 - $101,655.30 annually).

· Knowledge of complex chronic health conditions and the impact socioeconomic factors have on health
