Internship Program Description The Museum’s Internship Program offers college undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates' valuable insights into the operations of a professional museum environment. Interns collaborate on meaningful and engaging projects with museum staff and participate in a series of meetings and workshops focused on contemporary museology. *Please note: Only individuals who are authorized to work in the United States are eligible for this program.* Job Summary The Graphic Design Intern will work within the Communications Department to support creative production and assist in maintaining the Studio Museum’s brand and visual identity. They will work alongside the Senior Graphic Designer and Junior Graphic Designer to produce compelling, consistent, and brand-aligned assets for the Studio Museum’s diverse channels, with a specific focus on digital content. They will learn about implementing institutional design systems, maintaining brand consistency across all audience touch points, project managing design initiatives, and organizing and maintaining design files. Applicants must demonstrate strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign), superb attention to detail and excitement about working in a tight-knit, collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. The ideal applicant will also display an aptitude for visual storytelling and a passion for current trends within the design and art world. This internship is designed for mature undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent graduates interested in careers in design, digital marketing, arts communications, or related fields. Interns are required to be on-site at least three days per week, including mandatory full day attendance on Tuesdays. Stipend: $3,600 Application Deadline: 11:59 PM EST on March 16, 2026. Mandatory Orientation: All accepted interns must attend an in- person orientation on the morning of Monday, June 1, 2026, to begin the program.
