Location: Frisco, Colorado Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Job Title: Host/Busser Job Status: Seasonal Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $15.00+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Job Summary: Coordinate the efficient flow of business through the dining room and surrounding areas; be conscious of flow for servers and kitchen alike. Assists in coordinating efficient clearing and re-setting of the dining areas. This includes continual rotation of job duties that include but are not limited to: Host, bussing, guest service, food expediting, food handling, food runner, bar backing, sanitation and cleanliness standards, snow removal, stocking, dining room side work, trash removal, dishwashing, etc. Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. and occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. If bar backing must be able to assist with the lifting of kegs for up to 150 lbs. Ability to be on one’s feet for excessive time periods of up to 6 hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Balance seat counts for servers, communicate with team Seat in a manner that best benefits kitchen: spread out seating so that it is even throughout the meal period Seat guests in a friendly manner as soon as possible, deliver menus Act as a liaison between server, front door and management Buss tables and re-set as needed Assist with bar backing duties when needed as restocking supplies, cleaning glassware, changing kegs, replace alcohol product, restock garnishes Support members through teamwork and mutual respect Be sure our guests have what they need (menu, water) Clear all plates, silverware and glassware in a friendly manor immediately Re-fill water and drinks as needed Clean-up as needed Answer inquiries from guests Make the guest feel welcome Engage in small talk Smile always Host shall be available to our guests and employees at all times. Answer all incoming phone calls in a timely, professional and courteous manner. Assist with to-go orders. Listen to all messages, return all phone calls both from phone answering Clock in for your shift once appearance requirements are met and in uniform Go through reservations, make sure servers are seated fairly and also timed correctly Assist with waitlist coordinating with team and communicating with guests Be sure doors are unlocked and windows are clean Music system and TVs on, appropriate station and volume Attend daily staff meeting Check with Manager for any special events Be sure to receive mountain information, keep available for our guests Be sure restaurant is ready to open before seating guests Be sure host stand is well equipped and clean Clean menus Sufficient wrapped silverware for the day’s business Sanitizer bucket with clean rag stored in the liquid Prepare wait list, have it ready to go Check printer paper on all POS systems Check credit card paper and ribbon, be sure to have a back-up Maintain work area, keep it clean and organized Prepare seating chart and assign server sections Review the shift with MOD Proper food and beverage service (specific to style of restaurant). Proper sequence of service (specific to individual restaurant).
