Description We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented candidates to join our team as Summer 2027 Accounting Interns. This internship is perfect for students who are currently pursuing their degree in accounting and are eager to gain practical experience in the field. As an Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience, and develop a strong foundation in accounting practices. This internship will provide you with invaluable insights and skills that will prepare you for a successful career in accounting. The Mercadien Group is currently recruiting for our winter internship programs starting in June 2027. Responsibilities Understands basic file structure of an engagement Asks questions and proactively communicates Gathers appropriate evidence and/or information with guidance using; effective client inquiries, test of details, and basic analytical procedures Evaluates evidence and/or information gathered appropriately with guidance Participates in debriefing and team meetings Proactively reviews schedule Requirements Sophomore-Senior Accounting or Finance Major Attention to detail and organizational skills Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written format. A strong command of the English language and grammar is necessary Must be able to travel to office in Hamilton, NJ and/or client location as needed Must be able to commit and adhere to a regular and consistent schedule during normal day business hours Responsible for transportation and housing Additional Information June 1 - August 14 (dates subject to change) 3 days per week (ideally 9am-5pm) totaling about 24 hours per week
Responsibilities
