Are you home for the summer from college, or Business or Trade School and looking to work? Will you be graduating from High School and heading to college, or Business or a Trade School?
If so, come see us at Buffalo Air Handling!!! We have 2 locations......... Amherst and Lynchburg, VA
This opportunity will give you work experience, a chance to earn money, and to provide support for upcoming projects at Buffalo Air Handling.
The positions will be on either 1st or 2nd shift, it’s your choice which shift and location. Standard personal protective equipment is required (hard hat, safety glasses, safety toe shoes or boots). $50 safety shoe reimbursement as long as receipt is provided.
Limited positions in Assembly, Electrical, Welding, and Material Handling
Pay rate will be $18.23 per hour
40 hours a week (overtime is voluntary when offered)
Pre-employment drug screen and physical will be required
This position will be exempt from benefits (health, dental, vision, etc)
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
There will be opportunities for scholarships for those that will be, or are currently, enrolled in a College, University, or Business or Trade School.
Requirements
In order to qualify for a scholarship, employee:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must or will be enrolled in college, university, business or trade school
Must provide a copy of class registration
Must complete a minimum of 200 hours
Must have no infractions of work place rules and regulations
Amount of scholarship will be based on the number of hours completed on last day of employment:
400 hours = $1000
360 hours = $ 900
320 hours = $ 800
280 hours = $ 700
240 hours = $ 600
200 hours = $ 500
Responsibilities
The position involves providing support for upcoming projects at Buffalo Air Handling. Employees will gain work experience and earn money during the summer.
