For almost 80 years our residential camp has provided a safe and unique experience for children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities. Our camp is located near Fergus, on Belwood Lake in southwestern Ontario.
The Cabin Counsellor position is a full-time, live-in summer contract position. It is perfect for an individual who is looking to build skills in working with individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Cabin Counsellor, you will be supporting Participants throughout programming and providing daily care to every camper in your cabin. Care includes emotional support, behavioural interventions and assisting campers to complete daily hygiene such as brushing teeth, dressing, toileting, ect.

Job Requirements:

• An interest in working with people with disabilities in the future
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check
• Standard First aid & CPR
• Flexibility and willingness to work as a part of a team!
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• Camp experience is an asset but not required
