Description KCARC is seeking applicants for 1972 Summer Camp Counselor. Multiple positions available. Perfect for High School or College Students. Applicants must be 16 or older. The Camp Counselor is a Spring/Summer job opportunity at KCARC 1972's Summer Camp Program. Hours Vary. The Camp Counselor is responsible for assisting in implementing all components of the Summer Program curriculum within his/her designated age group of campers, in a manner that is reflective of KCARC’s mission to advocate and provide opportunities in a dignified and respectful manner for the total well-being of individuals and families with special needs and non-disabled children ages 5 to12, and all other duties as assigned. Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age to apply. Possess the ability to use tact and empathy when dealing with children/people of varied backgrounds. Possess the ability to establish effective working relationships. Possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Be able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced work environment. Maintain good hygiene. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Successful candidates will be required to perform repetitive motions including but not limited to lifting, bending, twisting, turning, and being on their feet for the majority of their shifts.
