Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC has several Summer Camp Counselor positions available in our summer Kids Club Program. We are a privately owned and operated country club nestled inside Preston, a premier residential community located in the heart of Cary, NC. If you are a friendly, outgoing team player who likes working with kids, apply now we would love to hear from you! Position details: Be at least 16 years of age for Summer Camp Counselor Helper and at least 21 years of age for Lead Summer Camp Counselor Available Mondays - Fridays 9:00am - 5:00pm. You must be available to work from May 18- Aug 15 2026. MUST have a clean driving record. Prefer at least 2 years’ experience for the Lead Summer Camp Counselor position. Pass a background check and drug screening. Lead and organize various age appropriate games for children ages 5-12. Maintain control of assigned group of children while off club property. Interact with parents regarding their child’s experiences at camp. Swim with children daily. Must have prior experience working with children in a camp/school setting. Wage: $12-$14 per hour depending on experience. Must pass background check, drug test and be eligible to work in the United States. EOE
Responsibilities
Counselors will lead and organize various age-appropriate games for children aged 5-12, maintaining control of their assigned group both on and off club property. They must also interact with parents regarding their child's camp experiences and swim with the children daily.
