SUMMER CAMP INSTRUCTOR Kids Connection Elementary Location: Foster City, CA Pay: $25.00–$29.00/hour (based on experience) Job Type: Seasonal, Non-Exempt Department: Camps & Extended Day Programs Reports To: Director of Extended Day & Camps ABOUT THE ROLE Kids Connection Elementary is seeking enthusiastic Summer Camp Instructors to lead joyful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate summer programming for elementary-aged students. Instructors create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment while facilitating pre-planned activities that support campers’ social, emotional, and academic growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead daily camp activities, lessons, and projects * Support the physical, emotional, and social needs of campers * Supervise children at all times to ensure health and safety * Establish routines and provide positive guidance * Collaborate with Camp Counselors and leadership * Participate fully in indoor and outdoor activities * Communicate professionally with staff and families * Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures * Assist with setup, cleanup, meals, and basic facility care * Complete incident reports and attend required trainings SCHEDULE * Camp Dates: June 15 – August 28, 2026 * Training: Week of June 8, 2026 (paid, in-person) * Instructor Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm * Days: Monday–Friday * No Camp: June 19 & July 4 PAY & BENEFITS * $25.00–$29.00/hour * Paid in person training before camp begins * Sick time per CA labor law * Camp tuition discounts for staff children * $50 Friends & Family camp discount * Ongoing professional development * Possible extension to year-round roles QUALIFICATIONS Required * Must be 18+ by June 1, 2026 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Pediatric CPR certification (or ability to obtain) * Ability to pass Livescan background check * Availability to work 6-8 hours shifts daily, Mon-Fri Preferred * Experience in camps, schools, or childcare * Coursework in Education or Child Development * Bilingual (English + another language) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to lift up to 60 lbs * Sit, stand, walk, run, bend, and kneel throughout the day * Engage actively with children indoors and outdoors Kids Connection Elementary is an at-will employer and committed to creating a joyful, inclusive workplace.
